Introduction to The Faith of Jesus Christ

The King James Bible says we are justified by the faith "of" Christ. In the newer translations, the word "of" has been changed to the word "in." This small change may seem insignificant, but it makes a huge difference in how we view our relationship with God.

When we say, "faith in Christ," we are talking about the believer's faith or the faith that belongs to the believer. When we say, "faith of Christ," we are talking about Jesus' faith or the faith that belongs to Jesus. The issue is that the newer translations of the Bible tend to lead readers to believe that the faith of Christ is non-existent.

Just as it is hard to comprehend what real love is without knowing God, it is difficult if not impossible to understand what "real faith" is unless we know and trust the faith of Christ. The Faith of Christ not only validates the love of God, His faith is the proof that Jesus is who He says he is: Both Messiah and the Son of God.
